I used to say things like that so many times, and found myself stupid so
many times, that I want to wait and see.
Remember, I'm waiting for this since 1981. I can wait a little bit more
:)
A funny thing is that Tiger is modified every day during this game. Not
in the purpose of winning this game, of course. I could have saved a
version to play this game only, but I think a changing version could
lead to crazy things, for example Tiger playing a move one day, and
realizing it was a positional mistake the day after. But it seems that
this game is turning into tactical, and I don't expect any blunder from
my program in this case (Mmh, I should shut my mouth, maybe I'm going to
find myself stupid in a week or two).
Tiger plays 8. Bxf6
(... Qxf6 9. Nb5 Qc6 10. Nbd6+ Bxd6 11. Nxd6+ Ke7 12. Nxb7 Qxb7...
ply=10, time=51.73s, score=+1.48)
The game is:
[Event "Correspondance game"]
[Site "Internet"]
[Date "1998.01.01"]
[Round "?"]
[White "Chess Tiger K5 100Mhz 256Kb hash 1h/game"]
[Black "Sargon III Apple 2e 24h+/move"]
[Result "*"]
1. e4 c5 2. Nc3 b6 3. Nf3 Bb7 4. d4 cxd4 5. Nxd4 e5 6. Nf5 Nf6
7. Bg5 h6 8. Bxf6 *
