Hi Steve,
Initially Chris Taylor who posts here was the one who helped me
via lots of emails to understand how to setup and what to actually do.

Most programs come already capable of playing auto232 games.
In the case of Windows programs I have found having the same
empty com port on each computer makes things run smoother.
Currently I'm running both on Com 1.

I don't think there are actually many tricks to it other than understanding
and configuring correctly. Especially with running Winboard v another A232
capable program.

The three programs you name Tiger, Genius and Chessbase I have not had any
problems with. Typically when playing against Chessbase I use Chessbase as
master, but it also works as slave. Where inplace of going to two computer match
you simply go to load device and load the driver. As master I don't even bother
loading the driver just go to two computer match and it starts fine.

One thing is to naturally start the slave as slave prior to telling the master
to start.

Initially when I had the two Cel 433's I had some problems as I had a Com 1 and
the other on Com 2. I found then that fooling around with the resign option set
to never with CB helped. Also with Shredder in preferences to set ask before
quit to off and ask before new game to off.

I do have a lot of changes planned on my website in the coming months and this
is one of the additions I plan to make, as well as setting up on servers and
running the 2nd computer on a server.

Sarah.
