I hope that made sense.... > >jm Hello John, Yes, as soon as I changed the hash size to 32 Meg the name automatically changed to ChessMaster #0 and is saved as a completely different "created" personality. That is one of my complaints since I cannot now use this "Personality" to play rated games when in fact all I have done is give it more hash table memory to improve it's endgame strength. So anyway in the above example I had Chessmaster #0 playing a game and ChessMaster monitoring the game and using up half the CPU cycles. I wondered why sometimes the machine would ponder the correct move but when answering immediately it did not follow the indicated PV. It all makes sense now even though I hate the idea of not being able to use the created personalities to play rated games. Jim
