I share your opinion about Gandalf.  The latest beta (4.32g-2) on my PII-400
(dual board, but Gandalf playing with only one CPU) managed to draw a short
match vs Bob's Quad Crafty (4 X 550 Xeon) today, playing at 3 + 3 inc.  Even in
the second game it was close to at least drawing but was simply outsearched.
