Good that you mention that... that's why I'm always speaking of "rating list thinking" in computer chess. There seems to be a big difference between prefering programs which a) make the best, most beautiful or most elegant moves more often (or find them, and the ideas they are based on resp., faster), or b) make the most rating points.
