Subject: Creating .CAB file for Chess Java applet

I got Cabarc.exe from the Microsoft site, but when I click on it the Dos box
won't stay open and I can't give the commands to create the cab file for my
Chess applet. Is Microsft's Virtual Machine needed to run Cabarc ?
There are other .cab file makers apart from Microsoft's .
What' s the simplest to create a .cab file ?
