Bob, quite right. I was being trivial about the tiny chess set pieces, but human beings, at least this one, are really a poor man/machine interface; if I don't drop a piece, I can easily execute the computer move incorrectly on the board and only discover it later when some other move fails to compute. Also, my Sargon is kind of slow at its best level. I keep my Sargon for trips to London and Amsterdam, but stick to my 300mhz PII otherwise. I still think a laptop would be great because my big superbox PC keeps me under house arrest a lot of the time.
