To clarify William's answer:

-- The documentation is in error. The vector board was removed from CM8000.
-- The piece sets that you are offered depend on the size AND orientation of the
board. If you are using a 2D board, you can only select 2D pieces, etc. But,
yes, changing the size of the board will also make different piece sets
available.
