Put a file Crafty.rc in your crafty-folder and write into it :

tbpath="path you put tablebases in " , eg. tbpath=c:\tbs

You probably will like to alter hash tables too , so

tbpath=c:\tbs
hash 48M
hashp 10M

would be reasonable and sufficient entries for your Crafty.rc ; you can also
download the documentation file crafty.doc.ascii at
ftp://ftp.cis.uab.edu/pub/hyatt which explains everything.

As you asked somewhere else if it is possible to use crafty with Chesspartner :
the answer is yes and how is explained by Lex Loep at
http://www.lokasoft.nl/uk/winboard-getting-started.htm.

Greetings.
