Certainly it's on topic and interesting.

It appears to me that Millennium is doing nothing other than asking for big
trouble for themselves with this lawsuit. Laws must be very different from the
United States in Germany.

But anyway, I could put up a website here--not that I intend to--saying whatever
I wanted about Shredder 5 and there's nothing Stefan could do about it, nothing.
I could say it's the lamest program in the world, and Stefan could do nothing.
Oh, he could file a suit, but it would either quickly be thrown out or he'd have
opened himself up to being countersued, which would be very expensive for him.

As far as this being a factor in purchasing or not purchasing
Shredder--Shredder, unlike Gambit Tiger, is not something that I must have or
even especially want. If I could stop the clock every day, maybe I'd like to
have it, but since I've had Gambit Tiger, I think I've played Fritz one game,
Chessmaster 7000 none.

Speaking of Chessmaster, I went to Best Buy last night and they didn't have any
for copies of 8000 there for 19.95. But I'm not even sure I'd pay 19.95 for it.
Chessmaster has not offered me an upgrade, even though I've registered 7000 and
I don't think I much care.
