You will have to wait about 10 years to see hardware that fast.  Then the
question can be answered with reasonable accuracy.  The problem is that there
is no way to say "hardware as fast as deep blue's"...  since they used special-
purpose hardware that has facilities far beyond any architecture of today. And
it would require a _serious_ set of changes to today's programs.   IE only two
commercial engines are parallle. _neither_ knows anything about message
passing.  Etc...
