"Gambit Tiger" and "Gambit Shredder" sound so close that >it is indeed possible that some people buy your product thinking they are buying >mine. How many of them? 1%? 2%? Is it worth selling your soul? I do not think that customers will be confused by the name in this case. The main name of the program is Shredder5. The only way to confuse people is if millenium publish advertisment with the words "Buy Gambit" when only after reading the small letters you understand that the meaning is to Gambit shredder. If they do not do it then I expect that no customers will be confused. I also do not expect people to be confused and buy Chess System tal instead of Chessmaster or the opposite(I have no idea which program came first) I can add that there is a tal personality in Chessmaster and I do not think that they did it in order to confuse people who want to buy Chess system tal.
