actually this is what happens to all authors: if you are lucky, you get
something like 10% of the final book price as royalty, if you have a really
big name, say, stephen king, it might be more. but for all 'normal' people
who want to get a book published it's rather hard. specially in such areas
which have a small readership - take any academic subject - you don't get
any real money out of writing a book.

one thing should be added: ernst really has a lot of information on
his webpages, so you might also find the information on the interior
node recognizers there.
