Gandalf lost with 5.5 : 7.5 against Shredder with 40 moves in 20 minutes. 9 games are Remis ! Gandalf plays with ~ 2.650 ELO at the moment on faster hardware with longer time controls ! In all my test games against Deep Fritz T29 make Gandalf ~50% with different time controls. Also more postive results against Nimzo 8, Hiarcs 7-32, Junior 6 and other programs with longer time controls. I think the playing streng is ~ 2.650 ELO and the same as the new Chess Tiger and Fritz with longer time controls. The games from Gandalf are very nice, in my opinion has Gandalf a great attack style and plays wonderful games. LCT II Test: New Rekord ! GS 2930: New Rekord (solved 10 postions) BS 2830: New Shredder and oder Fritz 5.32 are better ! This are results on faster hardware with longer time controls from different beta testers. The most with games with ponder ! All information in Gandalf 4.32g beta test forum ! Shredder must play with 2.950 ELO when I see your result :-) I like the new Shredder program, it seems that Shredder is clearly better as Shredder 4.0 in tactic positions. Now I think Gandalf 4.32g is not to 82% the best program with longer time controls, maybe 25% when I see how strong is the new Shredder 5.0 ! Frank
