I have a few questions/comments about cm8k: 1. Is there any way to disable the opening movie! 2. I have 256m of ram but the max Transposition Table setting is only 128m. Can this be set higher somehow? 3. Is there anyway to reset the Transpositon Table after completing a game? I always reset the hashtable in fritz6 after each game and it seems to play stronger. 4. For the opening book I use CM8000. Is it the best? 5. Strongest settings for style/positional/material? It seems the only useful tweaks would be: selective search, contempt for draw, transpostion table, all of the positional settings and perhaps material points settings. As you can see I am new to the chessmaster programs. It doesnt seem as strong as fritz6. Perhaps with some tweaking, it might be able to beat it. I did play one game against fritz6. Chessmaster (white) on my 1ghz thunderbird vs fritz6 (black)on my 333mhz celeron. 10 minute game with 8m hashtable. It was a draw!!!!
