Games sure end a lot quicker against Gambit Tiger, don't they? Which means I
can play a lot more games.

It seems to me that you might have a point. It doesn't need to get any
stronger. I wouldn't know if it's killer instinct could be further refined.

I don't play chess programs to become a better chess player but just for fun.
It's way more fun than watching Seinfeld or whatever's on TV these days. I'm
not concerned about becoming a better chess player and have bunch of other
things to do that I need to be doing in that time I'd be spending becoming a
better chessplayer--and I make money at some of these things. But I think
playing Gambit has actually improved my game, not that I much care, to tell you
the truth, more than just a little bit.

I'd like to play Gambit--and Rebel--with longer time controls, not that it would
help me, but no telling what I'd see. As it it, I set it for 2 minutes for each
side.

I do play some blitz with Rebel a few days a week, just for some variance. I
think Rebel is an interesting program though I'm not sure why I like it more
than Fritz--to play against, I mean. I don't think Fritz is a bad program to
play blitz against, but I do prefer Gambit and Rebel to it. (I think I had said
Gambit was the only program I played, but I do play about a dozen blitz games
with Rebel once or twice a week--in case anybody is keeping up.)

Yeah, I like Rebel, but Ed has a crappy website and he sent out some fairly
crappy documentation with that booklet ICD sent me. Turned out I didn't even
that booklet--Rebel set up without a serial.

Somebody posted some settings for Rebel where it supposedly would play similar
to Gambit Tiger. I wish somebody would repost it.
