Go up one level in this thread

Could it somehow be implemented on a per-user basis? I.e., would it be possible that each user can select the color(s) for each level of quoting[1]? I can easily imagine that if one color is selected, a bunch of people wouldn't like that color, but would really like it if a different color were used. [1] I like the idea that each new level of quoting can be colored differently. :) On the other hand, my suggestion is that people pay more attention to what they are responding to, and only quote the necessary portion(s) of the message. This can save a ton of bandwidth (I know ICD has had to change servers several times to keep up with demand for CCC, and I'm sure it's expensive.) and can also save sanity (It can make posts incredibly much easier to read.). I've seen a lot of times where a _very_ long message gets responded to, and only a few lines are added. And in a threaded message board like this, it's not even totally necessary to quote at all, but it does make it easier. So, in short, I think it'd be nice if people only quoted what has to be quoted. There are several reasons to do so, and all of them are good. Thanks, Jeremiah
