So would I :o). Even though it's not all that interesting and not exactly a
controversy.

That is certainly one way of interpreting your comments.

However, I've checked the Shredder 5 box and the name "Gambit Shredder" isn't
mentioned anywhere. The same applies to the information listed on the website.
So no apparent commercial gimmick or a reason for customer confusion.

Gambit Shredder is just another personality setting. A feature which have become
quite a popular addition to chess programs. There's already something that
resembles Gambit Rebel and why not a Gambit King under CM8K.

A very common (and catchy) chess term used in connection with a particular set
of settings for a different program should cause little or no concern if you
have faith in what you're doing.
