It would work provided it is not the virus I mentioned in my previous post. Chances are one of the affected VXD files is Vmm32.vxd. Vmm32.vxd is essentially a "library" of virtual drivers. Vmm32.vxd is constantly updated so it can NEVER be recreated perfectly with a fresh copy. However, putting all the VXDs normally found in vmm32.vxd in c:\Windows\System\Vmm32 should do a fairly decent job of recreating it.
