Is it a good to play against? I think it's quite nice to play against, even thought I haven't tried everything by far or played that many games. The announce moves option is too slow IMO. But the interface in general is okay and I like the Karpov comments. Especially the "Watch out" comment after you blunder a piece :o). There are different Shredder "personalities" to play against and you can make your own and different levels to choose from. But mostly time dependent, so the engine isn't weakened as such. Or so it seems (feels) :o). The book be altered to a certain extent though I wish there where more books to choose from. You can make your own books, but anyway. The 2D and 3D boards are acceptable. The default layouts could be better IMO. However, you can alter them to your satisfaction. If there's anything in particular you'd like to know, don't hesitate to ask. Mogens.
