Unless T-bird means something other than Thunderbird, they have been testing that cpu. But "only" as high as the 1GHz version. You're right about one thing though. It's difficult to tell if the scores have any significance when it comes to chess programs. However, I wouldn't mind having a 1.2GHz Athlon Thunderbird at my disposal. Mogens.
