Micron Electronics Inc. is three months out on delivery of its Millennia XP
using the new AMD-760 chipset from Advanced Micro Devices Inc. with a 1.2-GHz
Athlon processor. Micron officials say the delay is a result of a glitch in the
motherboard that forced a joint redesign with AMD and the board's supplier,
Gigabyte Technology Co. Ltd. With remarkable candor, a company spokesman in
Nampa, Idaho said, "It's largely our fault." Nov. 30, 2000
