That's good advice. I was puzzled for quite awhile why my various tests with
CM8000 often ran slowly, and I couldn't reproduce my former times with the same
tests. It was probably because I had activated one of those auxiliary engines
without being aware of it. If I understand correctly (?), it is possible to have
3 engines running simultaneously with CM8000 which would really slow things down
a lot!? I haven't run the tests, but am not sure that after activating an
auxiliary engine, whether it is turned off automatically or continues to run in
the background. I am concerned about proper initialization of the system,
particularly when using custom defines personalities.

What they should do is have engine lights. A little red light goes on when an
engine is running, and goes off when it is turned off. Pretty simple.
