I would like to request a Winboard feature. Maybe Tim Mann would be the proper person to implement this, but then again, maybe someone else can do it. I run a chess program on ICC (not my own)...the program plays while I do other things on my computer. I let it run all night. Every so often, something goes wrong, and the connection to ICC is closed. I have a cable modem, so it's "always on." I would like a feature that checks to see if the connection to ICC is open, and if it isn't, tries to reconnect every few minutes or so, and keeps trying until it does. Right now, Winboard puts up a dialog box to announce the connection has been closed, and that's it. This would, potentially, mean many more games on ICC for all programs, since I would not have to come back to the machine to check if Winboard is communicating with ICC. :) Roger
