I think "draw score" is a measure of how it should value a draw.  If it's
negative, the program will have relatively high contempt for a draw (in fact,
other programs call the setting "draw contempt").

Since you set it very high, perhaps it then selected that move because it saw
that it leads to a draw and, by this measure, that's a good thing.  I.e., it
wouldn't normally pick that move because it thinks it "only" draws, but when a
draw is highly valued, this move is good for achieving that.

That's my reading, anyway.
