About a week ago I obtained CM8000 and decided to go with the ( Custom Install ), both discs. All files were copied to my HD. Now the Chessmaster site along with the instruction manual always says you need Disc 1 inserted in your CD-ROM drive. Well this is not the case, at least not for me. I'm able to run CM8000 without the Disc! This surprised me, as it's explict that you can't run CM8000 without it. Is anyone else running CM8000 without Disc 1 in their CD drive? Or is this an anomaly?
