This has been addressed at this forum by John Mareno(Rep) for Chessmaster. He
says that the program is supposed to make you use Disc 1 in order to use CM8000.
But there were several people on here including myself that proclaim that they
don't need to insert the disc in order to play. The ChessMaster Rep. says that
it will be fixed in the next patch so that we will all need to insert the disc
before we can use Chessmaster. WE all should have kept our mouths shut! Now we
will have the aggravation to need the CD inserted every time we want to play.

There won't be any way around this because the patch will correct all the other
bugs that were discovered which you will need. One important problem is
correcting the time controls, because ChessMaster 8000 moves way too fast where
if it thought longer on it's moves it would be able to make better choices in
it's moves!
