1.  I don't have nor use a Mac... so I can't compile nor test.  Carsten
is already compiling this thing for the Mac and has volunteered to take
each new version and compile it and ship me the Mac executable.  I'm not
sure what he is compiling it for (PPC or M68K).  If you want to compile
for the other and send me executables, we can work that out.

2.  there should be no need to keep up with revisions now.  The source
as distributed should compile cleanly with no changes...
