[snip] [Thanks for the EPD, Dann] Some analysis with Chest (K7/600 330MB hash): Move 44: [D]6k1/3K2p1/1p1P3p/1P6/p3pP2/4p3/P5PP/8 w - - is a mate in 6 with Ke7 or Ke6 (1.5 seconds). Move 43: [D]6k1/4R1p1/1p1PK2p/1P3p2/p2r1P2/4p3/P5PP/8 w - - is a mate in 10 with Rxe4 (10.5 minutes). While fxe4 leads to the mate in 6 above, 43... Kf7 is nominally deeper. Does not look like Chest would be able to go much further back in reasonable time. Heiner
