Subject: Which programs require the Most/Least amount of Ram?

The Reason I ask is because of my recent problems with running chess programs on
my new Athlon 850 chip, it appears that I may have some bad Ram, I notice that
fritz crashes after about five minutes, whereas shredder stays up for about 30
minutes before it crashes. I have troubleshooting the problem and have
eliminated some possible causes, now I am left with the memory issue. Still i
don;'t see why "only" Chess programs Crash and nothingelse! Just my luck that
the most important software on my computer just happens not to want to act
right!
