I agree with you that the idea of an LCD chess unit would be great (I, for one,
would definitely buy a strong unit with an LCD display).  I have a number of
chess programs and dedicated chess computers, but I would like an LCD unit to
play with on my long daily subway ride to and from work or for portability and
simplicity when I am traveling.  I have a few peg models, but don't want to
bother with that (or risk losing the pieces) on a bus or subway.

Recently, I have toyed with the idea of getting a Palm Pilot (the IIIxe) and
downloading Chess Genius on it (the version for Palm Pilot OS by Lang).  Does
anyone know strong this program is on a Palm Pilot?
