Consider a new HandSpring Prism or Platinum. They run quite a bit faster (i.e.,
stronger at chess) and have the SpringBoard expansion slot. The Prism is color
and quite expensive ($449 list, but Amazon has a $50 coupon thing going on), but
boy, what a display and what a great portable chess computer!

In fact, come to think of it, somebody could (and probably will) market a
SpringBoard module that has its own memory and, perhaps, separate or additional
CPU, for better chess. It would use the display and sync capabilities of the
HandSpring, but have room for hash tables, etc. for stronger chess.

Hmmmm, anybody want to start a company? ;-)
