It doesn't show that it has found the TB files unless you fiddle with the TB
paths or the TB cache. However, as I mentioned in my previous reply, it will
show the number of TB hits in the engine window when accessing during games.

I haven't got Shredder 4 installed at the moment, so I can't compare options.
But Shredder 5 doesn't offer the possibility of choosing opponent type under
book options, just "Tournament", "Standard" and "Wide" as you mention.
