All Palms to date run on the Motorola DragonBall processor. This is a mobile version of Motorola's 68000 processor as used by Apple Macs up until the PowerPC range. It is thought that Palm will switch to StrongARM processors with version 4.0 of the OS some time in 2001. This is the processor used in the Compaq iPAQ and runs at > 206 MHz. The processor runs at 16 MHz on the Palm Pilot, Palm Professional, Palm III(x/e), Palm V, Palm M100, Handspring Visor. It's running at 20 MHz on the Palm Vx and Palm IIIc. The Handspring Visor Prism and Platinum run at 33 MHz. Hope this helps! Steve
