We can't answer the question "why should I buy a Palm", because nothing will convince you before you buy one. But when you've bought one and used it for a couple weeks, you don't know how you would do WITHOUT it. It's a little bit like cellular phones. Before I bought one, I thought "what the hell am I going to do with this stuff. I hate to be disturbed by the phone, why should I take one with me everywhere I go???". Now I realize that a cellular phone actually changes a lot in your life. I don't think about it like a "phone" (the word carries the older philosophy associated by wire phones). I think about it as a personal "communicator". I can talk to anybody I wish to, at any time, and immediately. Assuming the person in question has a cellular phone too (which is becoming pretty common in many countries). Anybody can talk to me when he wants to. Generally, cellular phone calls do not last for long and actually do not disturb you much in your current activity. And there are a lot of things that are simplified. You don't have to stay at home when you expect a phone call. I can reach my girlfriend wherever she is to tell her I'll be late or that I am at the supermarket and I just have to ask her if I should buy this or that... Many activities do not need to be planned anymore. That means more freedom and flexibility. Next year Palm computers and cellular phones will be integrated into the same device. I'm really looking forward this... Christophe
