In reading your post I tended to agree w/ most of what you said.

However I can't help but think that ed.'s decision to play his program
against human masters rather than relying on the ssdf list was a good
idea that should be followed by all. And that somehow going back to
it may not be benificial at all. I really feel he has nothing to gain
and perhaps something to lose. As some people take the list not as a general
guide but as the word of God.
