You have confused me, or my memory is whacky :) think I just read a post on Linux where you said Redhot had bugs, Mandrake 7.0 has serious bugs because of latest release of Xgtree86, you use mandrake 6.2 on your laptop" I wonder if I have got that right because on another thread on another post you said you use Redhot and teach all your students Redhot and seem to imply that is your preference. I am Interested Bob because I am running windows 95 (dont like it), been to 98 and I thought it had too many bugs (or was it me ?), my Sons who are computer programars tell me that they do not like Windows 2000 ! (forgot why). I asked about NT and I don't think they have a opinion, reason I do not know. So I am interested in Linux for the future near/far ? I am getting a new Athlon Computer in Jan. or Feb. and I will be hanged if I know what operating system to order, except it will not be Windows 95. You have a suggestion that would help ? Thank you Wayne PS: The only things I use a Computer for are the following in a priority order. 1) Chess 2) Talking to my Family via Dialpad 3) Sports news 4) Flight simulators 5) Gardening information such as Avacado tree Care 6) Medical Information That is mostly it.
