This is what gnuchess, a non-parallel program currently, gets on a dual 800mhz system at www.chessclub.com/finger/gnuchess and it does much better than it would if it had to share the cpu with the OS. My advice is to go for it since the $200 US is cheap and in the future you may yet run a dual processor chess program. --Stuart
