Do you use Win 98? You can try to replace the file with a fresh one from the original Win98 installation CD-ROM. For that you have to restart your PC with the Windows 98 rescue disk (if you don't have one, make it >config scree>software>rescue disk tab) and choose for CD Rom support. First of all remember the SHDOCVW library is in the Windows\system directory. Second check the Win98 directory on your CD, and look for the cabinet files (cab) There are win98_xx.cab files. Choose the lowest xx number as I don't know in which cabinet you can find the shdocvw.dll. If you restarted your PC now go under DOS to the windows\system directory and copy the shdocvw.dll somewhere else. Now delete it in the system directory (just for a backup in case of....) Now type from the prompt: extract /a [d]:\win98\win98_xx.cab shdocvw.dll /l c:\windows\system [d] is the designated character of your CD-Rom drive. The extract.exe is on your rescue disk. the /a switch lets windows search all cabinet files consecutively until it found the file. That's why you should have the lowest win98_xx.cab; it starts with this and restores it to the system directory. Now after finishing restart your PC normally. Remember it has to unpack the cabinet file so it takes some time. Jeroen ;-}
