He started playing back when you could get a rating of N-400 by losing 20 games in a row to someone whose rating was N. He played computers that would play provisional people, and his rating ended up being about 2400. He would play dozens of games, and eventually I set my program up so that it would ignore his challenges, because, frankly, I didn't want to waste hours of computer and connection time. bruce
