Hello Stuart,
I think you can! I have always trusted Hiarcs for analysis because it is a very
good program. I'm still waiting for the new version. Don't get me wrong
though, I believe Shredder is stronger than Hiarcs 7.32. I now have 52 games of
Shredder 5 vs other top programs and it has a winning score of 29-23. Here is
what I have so far at Game/60 minutes on 2 K7-900 machines.
Shredder5 vs Hiarcs 7.32 5-5
Shredder5 vs Gambit Tiger 6.5-3.5
Shredder5 vs Chess Tiger 6.5-3.5
Shredder5 vs Fritz 6 5.5-6.5 (12 games)
Shredder5 vs Century 3.0 5-5
Totals 29-23
These are pretty good results against some of the best programs out there. I
don't think Hiarcs 7.32 can do that good. I still have to play CM8K and
Junior6.
