It depends. Some engines do not accept the settings of the gui and have therefore a special parameter which has to be set in the ini or init-file, f. ex. zchess [HashTables] SIZE_HT=24 ; Size in MByte for the HashTables ; Default : 8 EFFACER_HT=TRUE [HashPawns] SIZE_HP=4 ; Size in MByte for the HashPawns ; Possible values : 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64 ; Default : 2 or yace: REM initialization file for Yace auto_log ; Use 30 Megabytes for hash tables. Change this to a size suitable for ; your hardware. You can use numbers like 10.5M, 10.5m, 10500k or 105000000. hash 24M ; set the chache size for endgame tables. Default is 2M. I suggest to use ; not less than 1M and not more than 4M egtb_cache 4M or AMY [Parameter] CommandLine = -ht 32m Engine = Amy 0.7s Author = Thorsten Greiner, Germany Debug = False Christian
