In earlier message I quoted a review. I read a review of Excalibur LCD chess on http://www.chesscafe.com/ There they gave an example of its playing: 1. e4 c6 2. d3 e5 3. f4 Bb4+ 4. c3 exf4 In other word it gave away a bishop for a pawn. I asked them if that wasn’t on a handicap level. They said it was not. Now I have asked in rec.games.chess.computer about it. There are some people that have this LCD chess. There I got the answer that this sequence of moves was on level 1! That is handicap level. The owner said that level 1 to 4 is mentioned as handicap levels. I think it is awful when a reviewer takes a handicap level as an example of its playing. Georg
