Coral linux se or is the best for deskstop
reasons

1: best install everything is automatic
2: best office suite wordperfect 2000 (may be better than office 2000)
3: will work in dos partition and dual boot or In linux partition that it
will help you to create. IMO the best to create partitions with.
4: based on debian (super solid) and the best update utility.
5: uses kde (less buggy and just plain better features than Gnome)

and it works out of the box minimal bugs in se

I have had and tryed installing debian 2.2, redhat 6.0, mandrake 7.2, suse ? and
others just to see which was indeed better.

I have found that for someone that doesn't want to learn a great deal about
linux and just want a full featured office suit then corel is the best w/o
equal.

But if I wanted to build a linux box to server from scratch debian would be my
choice. redhat to me is right in the middle and very good as it has everything
you might need for serving and developement.

suse is also good for workstations uses kde.

hope this helps
