RH 7 is a horrible botch. The GCC they shipped is not only broken but the
libraries are not compatible with the current, non-broken version.

You can buy most Linux distributions on CDROM for under $5 from
http://www.cheapbytes.com. If you're not sure which one you will
like buy a bunch and try them out.
