1.Rxc6 looks good enough with the same idea.
The "human" pricipal variation
after 1.Nf6+ is Kh8
2.Rxc6 bxc6
3.Qxf7!! Bd7 (3.Nxf7+ is also good and easier to see)
4.Qg8+ Rxg8
5.Nf7#
Beautiful.
The computer must see this very clearly and avoids it.
1... gxf6 is easier for a human to evaluate. Isn'it?
