If, in fact, the engine security code is failing because you are running a K6 processor, the fault is NOT with your computer, it is DEFINITELY with Chessmaster 8000! What I would like to know is if there is anybody else out there with Chessmaster 8000 who is running a K6 who is also experiencing this problem. Your processor is fine, I suspect. I highly doubt that you have a faulty chip (although it IS possible, I suppose). It is also possible, however, that Chessmaster 8000 fails on ALL K6 chips (or a small class of them), and that is what we are trying to determine. jm
