It seems that Crafty and Dark thought have different king safety evaluation and the interesting question is which program is right. Crafty failed high on 0-0 and the score only improved (I stopped Crafty17.13 after almost 12 hours on p200 when the score was +1.49 for black) Crafty considered a4 at depth 15 so I suspect that it could fail high on a4 but the question is not if a4 is good but if 0-0 is bad.
