Hello John,
I think the answer to question 1 may be in the eye of the beholder.  In my
opinion it does play a more agressive game than the normal Shredder 5.  I can
provide some games if you like.  The answer to question 2 is I have all the
tablebases supplied with Shredder 5 plus some extra.  None of the tablebases
supplied were new to me as I had already downloaded those plus more.  More info
on Gambit Shredder.  Last night I let it play G/5minutes vs Fritz 6b and Fritz
won 37.5-26.5 indicating about a 65 point advantage for Fritz 6.  This is still
a small sample and not enough to make any statement about strength.  All my G/5
testing indicates that both Tiger programs are stronger than Fritz 6a/b by the
way.  So in my opinion, Gambit Shredder is not a bad Blitz player but I still
believe it plays better at longer games.
