Hi all: As I have spreaded some seeds of doubts about CM8000, I feel compelled to give the entire picture in order to avoid unnecesary an unfair damage. Now I can say that the same CD that in my AMD K-6 powered "main frame" desktop installed a CM8000 that does not operate well, nevertheless installed a CM that works smoothly in my "reserve strategic force", an old but reliable intel powered Compaq Armada that I usually keep in a drawer just in case the other one fail. This Armada uses an old W95, a 266 processor and has 90 something Mb Ram. Besides, as much as AMD units works ok in the pc's of other people here, it could be concluded that the problem is rooted in some hidden aspect of my particular configuration. The day I discover the problem and if it is a general one that could be shared by any of you, I will tell. Fernando
